Ludlow Press Poetry

Bliss

We speak
the language of lovers,
fluent conspirators
Aglimmer with guilt.
We turn entwined
tongues heavenward,
blushing supplicants cojoined
in lingual prayer.
You and I kiss
the clouds with impertinence,
yet savor each other
on envious earth.
